Welcome to SEA ESL, Powell River.  At SEA ESL we care about our students and their success.

SEA ESL is located in a small town on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. Powell River is a very safe and friendly town in which over 95% of the population speakes English as their first language. This means your English will improve more than in big cities where the population has many immigrants and businesses that speak the same language as you.

At SEA ESL we take your needs seriously. We provide accurate English assessment, caring experienced teachers, and a passion for adenture. We offer students the chance to improve their English and enjoy all the exciting activities that make Powell river famous, such as kayaking Desolation Sound with world famous Terracentric.

We guarentee classes will NEVER have more tha 8 students. We want you to talk as much as possible. With only 8 students in a class you'll be able to recieve a lot of attention from the teacher.

English and Activities

Students in this program get all the benefits of English study while enjoying all that makes Powell river famous. Students study in the day and have exciting activities with Canadians in the afternoons. Students will also be able to have a 30 min tutorial once a week.

Students will take an English assessment test and then placed according to their English ability in one of four levels.

Each month students will have a video report card. Their teacher will record and evaluate studnets' English progress and review how they can improve.

For students who want to focus on studying in an English environment. Students may participate in activities but will have to pay any costs.

Students will receieve focused attention from their teacher and be able to put into use what they have earned in school. All materials are current and focus on the real ways that English is used.
